some of my work
I was just enjoying myself so much I didn't think to make a photographic record of my paintings until recently
...so if you own one of my works, I would certainly appreciate a photo of it!

You have an ability to capture a moment, to preserve the innocence, to distill a beauty in the everyday, to celebrate the simplicity which is life! Thankyou for the gift of bringing me back to the beauty of reality.
I feel so privileged to know this wonderfully talented lady. Her superb painting is, to me, reminiscent of Rembrandt, Vermeer and Maes. We are so very fortunate for have her as an artist in residence in Tasmania. Thank you Margaret Sonnemann.
Beautiful work
The two that are amazing to me Margaret are the one of Christina and the one of Evelyn. You have perfectly captured not just their faces but also their spiritual presence. This is the heart of the best portrait painters isn’t it ? It also shows your familiarity of your most loved ones. Nice !
Beautiful paintings! Love the emotion each one captures /conveys 🙂
Honestly, I’m not surprised at anything she accomplishes. She is amazingly talented and I’ve known it for almost 40 years.
Dearest Margaret,
I sooo love your paintings, and also your amazing photography. I own your book of photography of the Australia Borealis. Thank you for setting up this website of your art. I look forward to accessing this site where I can enjoy your paintings and follow your career more closely. Blessings, dear friend. You are very gifted.
Margaret, God has truly blessed the works of your hands. You are a amazing artist! You have a keen ability to capture tender moments.
Breath taking,Margaret….I’m captivated by the look in the eyes…deep and soulful…..I can’t wait to see your Paris works in the Spring!!
Amazing work. “Patience” is a personal favourite. You have a rare talent, Margaret, keep up the amazing work!
Oh my goodness!!! I knew you were an artist but WOW!!! I had no idea you were this wonderful. Absolutely beautiful! I wish you didn’t live so far away…I would love to see your studio!
Any pics of the Paris paintings? Simon & Caroline are here and I was trying to show them the fruit of their “offering” to your beautiful seeing of France…..
Sorry to have missed them – the pics will be up soon! Health issues 🙁
